Positive COVID-19 individual visits Ozark County, while officials report 5th case

Ozark County Health Department officials have been advised an individual testing positive for COVID-19 and residing in Taney County made a visit to a local eatery earlier this month.Rhonda Suter of the Ozark County Health Department says in a Facebook post the individual ate breakfast at Just Jackie’s Restaurant in the Pontiac area, broke camp and returned to Taney County on July 19.Anyone at the restaurant on that day should monitor for signs and symptoms. Suter says this is considered a low-risk exposure.Signs and symptoms are fever, cough,shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste and fatigue. If you develop any of these symptoms, call your doctor to arrange testing for the coronavirus.

Suter also advises the Ozark County Health Department has been notified of its fifth COVID-19 case.

This case is quarantined. Close contacts have been notified and are in isolation.

This case does not work in Ozark County and hasn’t been out in the community.
