A one-vehicle accident Monday morning in Marion County has claimed the life of a Searcy County woman who was a passenger in a pickup truck traveling east, 1 mile west of Pyatt on U.S. Highway 62\412.According to a preliminary crash report from the Arkansas State Police, 41-year-old Misty Kathern Dean of St. Joe was a passenger in a truck driven by 42-year-old Roland Keith Rogers of Lead Hill.
Rogers’ vehicle traveled off the roadway to the left off an embankment and struck a tree head-on.
The report notes Rogers was transported to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock for treatment of his injuries.
The report notes the weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the 9:40 a.m. accident.
