Flippin School District’s high school counselor Angie Nix has been named the Arkansas High School Counselor of the Year.

A Flippin School District Facebook post notes Nix was awarded the honor at this year’s virtual Arkansas School Counselor Association’s virtual conference.

The group’s president, Laquietta Stewart, says in announcing Nix’s award, “I am proud to have her as a colleague because I know she works extremely hard to do the job right. Your students are very lucky to have Angie as their advocate.”

The Arkansas School Counselor Association (ArSCA) supports school counselors’ efforts to help students focus on academic, personal/social and career development, so they achieve success in school and are prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society.
