The only person to file for a municipal office position Wednesday in Baxter County has withdrawn his candidacy.
A spokesperson for the Baxter County Clerk’s Office says Scott Sillence withdrew his candidacy, noting he had filed for the wrong position. With the filing period having closed at noon Wednesday, Sillence is precluded from submitting his petition for another position.
