A Van Buren County man, 24-year-old Travis Austin Henson of Clinton, is being held on a $500,000 bond in the Stone County jail on a felony charge of first-degree stalking.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the victim alleges Henson has been constantly harassing and stalking her, and she is in fear for her life. The victim reported Henson repeatedly drives by her home yelling, “I love you.”

The woman told law enforcement the two had been in a relationship but had separated.

Henson has been released from jail on bond after being charged with domestic battery and terroristic threatening. A no-contact order was signed on June 15 and served on Henson. He was released from jail that day and reportedly repeatedly began contacting the victim.

The following day, a report was taken by the Clinton Police Department alleging Henson made contact with the victim and followed her to work. He was instructed to stay away from the woman.

The next day Henson reportedly left a note on the windshield of the victim’s car.

The following week, a Stone County deputy was speaking with the victim as Henson repeatedly called on the woman’s phone. When the deputy answered, Henson reportedly demanded to know who was on the phone. When the deputy identified himself, Henson hung up immediately.

Henson also faces a misdemeanor count of harassing communications.
