Twin Lakers win Tha Truth League championship

Mountain Home’s semi-pro basketball team is adding another title to its record. After a nearly five-month delay, the Twin Lakers returned to the court to capture Tha Truth League championship.

Mountain Home avenged a playoff loss from a year ago by defeating the Arkadelphia Bulldogs 82-56 in the semifinals. Charles Jackson led the Twin Lakers with 17 points, Christian Robertson scored 15, Garrett Berg had 14, and Anphernee Harris added 11 points.

Mountain Home advanced to the championship game where they defeated the Camden Flight 74-59. The Twin Lakers were led by Robertson with 22 points, and Jackson chipped in 12.

The Twin Lakers’ original prize was set to be $20,000, but due to the pandemic, everyone’s money was returned. Mountain Home ended up playing for a $6,500 pot. Their final record for the season is 8-1.
