The incident report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office indicates deputies were dispatched to a residence on Black Forrest Lane in Gamaliel shortly after 2. The victim told law enforcement he heard a male and female arguing behind their residence, and when he went outside to see what was going on, Somsel allegedly attacked him with a machete.

Deputies went to Somsel’s residence where he stated the victim had rushed at him, so he struck the man in the upper arm with the weapon. When questioned by authorities, Somsel refused to tell them his name.
