The Mountain Home cross country program held its preseason tuneup Friday evening, as several runners competed in the Blue-Gold meet. The teams had 11 personal bests and multiple course personal records in the 1 1/2-mile-race, as students ran with family members, friends and Bomber and Lady Bomber alumni.

The boys were led by last year’s Class 5A 5k state runner-up. Whit Lawrence crossed the line in 7:40.41, which was 15 seconds faster than a year ago.

Marcie Cudworth picked up where she left off last season for the Lady Bombers. The defending Class 5A state champion ended up three seconds faster than last year, with a time of 9:21.92.

Mountain Home’s high school runners will compete in a dual meet next Friday at West Plains.
