A local Meals on Wheels driver was injured Wednesday after he was pinned between his and another vehicle in a mobile home park. Sixty-five-year-old Perry Gage of Mountain Home was transported by ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center with what were described as suspected serious injuries.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Gage had parked his vehicle in a private roadway at Kingwood Mobile Home Park between Mountain Home and Briarcliff and exited to make a meal delivery. A pickup truck, driven by 61-year-old June Gardner of rural Mountain Home, reportedly backed out of the driveway in the lot next to the residence and struck Gage and the left rear corner of his vehicle. Gage was sent to the hospital after complaining of injury to his lower back and hip areas.

Gardner was not injured in the noon accident. Both vehicles had minor damage to their left rear corners.
