A woman implicated in burglaries at three Mountain Home residences entered a guilty plea to charges against her in Baxter County Circuit Court Monday and was sentenced to five years in prison, with three suspended and two to serve.

Twenty-three-year-old Shelby Homer of Harrison and another woman were arrested June 23 last year on active warrants unrelated to the thefts.

When police stopped the vehicle occupied by the pair, items reported stolen in the trio of residential burglaries were found.

After seeing those items, police obtained a search warrant for the vehicle and more suspected stolen property was located.

The items had been reported taken in three burglaries, all reported June 23, the same day the women were arrested.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the residences were located along Glenstone, Ridgecrest and McClure Lane. The charges Homer pled to stemmed from the Glenstone burglary where the value of property stolen was highest.

A variety of items were taken, including a wallet and various prescription medications.

Homer faced charges of residential burglary, theft of property and theft by receiving.
