MHHS golf teams finish 1st, 2nd in 3-team match at Harrison

The Mountain Home High School golf teams had a first and second place finish in a three-team match at Harrison Country Club Wednesday.

The Bombers won the boy’s event, shooting a 161 while Harrison had a 182 and Valley Springs finished with a 212.

Gaige Chaney led Mountain Home with a 37, Weston Hoover shot 39, Rip Finley had a 41, Will Beckham fired a 44, Aiden Sanders shot 46 and Duncan Conly and Max Hough each had a 47.    Harrison was led by Reggie Grant with a 41. Valley Springs’ Hunter Reese and Luke Vail each shot 49.

On the girl’s side, Harrison edged Mountain Home by four strokes. The Lady Goblins had a 129, Mountain Home shot 133 and Valley Springs had a team total of 159.

For Mountain Home, Ella Brashears fired a 44; Lauren Loving, Maddie Smith and Reagan Hasselwander each shot a 45; Hailey Czeschin had a 51 and Regan Webb shot a 54.

Harrison’s top golfer was Halle Marseilles with a 42. Valley Springs was led by Stevie Jennings with a 51.
