A Searcy County man convicted of a felony count of possession of a controlled substance, Schedule I/II, and a misdemeanor of possession of drug paraphernalia is among 11 Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson says he is recommending for a pardon.

Andrew Lewis of Leslie was convicted of the charges in 2007.

Lewis’ application for a pardon was approved based on him having completed all terms of his sentence and not having any further criminal law violations. In addition, there are no law enforcement objections to Lewis’ application.

There is a 30-day waiting period to receive public feedback on the notice of the pardon before final action is taken.
