MH girls finish 2nd, boys end up 4th at Hurricane Classic

The Mountain Home High School golf teams spent Saturday at the Jonesboro Country Club, as they took part in the Hurricane Classic.

The Lady Bombers ended up second in the girls’ team standings with a total of 269. Cabot took the win finishing 12 strokes ahead.

Lauren Loving led Mountain Home,as she tied for fourth place with an 88. Hayley Czeschin ended up tied for sixth with a 90, Ella Brashears was eighth with a 91, and Reagan Hasselwander took 11th place with a 100. Emmerson Doyle of Cabot was the medalist with a 78.

On the boys’ side, the Bombers ended up in fourth place at 339. Cabot made it a sweep, as their boys had 310, Valley View was second at 314, and Jonesboro finished third at 319.

Weston Hoover ended up in a three-way tie for 11th place with an 81 to lead Mountain Home. Rip Finley was 15th with an 83, Gaige Chaney finished tied for 16th with an 84, Will Beckham was tied for 25th with a 91, and Duncan Conly finished 33rd with a 109. Valley View’s Hunter Jowers took the medalist honor with a four-under-par 67.
