The body of a man found in the Pigeon Creek arm of Lake Norfork has been identified as a Cotter man.According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, the body was identified as 43-year-old Andrew A. Cunningham, whose last known address was in Cotter. The sheriff says acquaintances of the victim spoke to investigators and assisted in the identification process. A representative from the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock tells investigators that although the autopsy is not complete, there is no indication of any kind of foul play in the death.

Montgomery says the case will remain open, awaiting further findings from the complete autopsy.

Authorities were alerted to the presence of a body in the Wolfley Hole area near Pigeon Creek on Saturday afternoon. Sheriff’s office personnel, along with rangers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, responded to the area and recovered the body.
