Cotter, Salem pick up volleyball wins Tuesday night

The Cotter High School volleyball team picked up a 3-0 win Tuesday night against Alpena, winning by scores of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-17. Kate Cheek had 21 kills and two aces, Ashley Garay had 23 assists, Mai Tathong added six kills and three aces, Katlynn Wagoner served six aces, Kirstin Wilcoxson had five aces, and Tylar Coots added three kills.

The Cotter Junior High team lost to Alpena 4-25 and 7-25.

Cotter will travel to Yellville-Summit Thursday.

Salem was a 3-0 winner at Izard County, winning by scores of 26-24, 25-22 and 25-19. MacKenzie Hill had nine kills, Hannah Guffey and Kyla Stevens each finished with six kills, Cassidy Romine collected 13 digs, and Grace Benedict tacked on 14 assists.

In the junior high match, Izard County won by scores of 25-20, 24-26 and 15-9.
