ST. LOUIS (AP) – St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson and her husband are temporarily living in a different location because of protests at their home. The mayor says she hasn’t lived at her home since early July after it was targeted by social justice demonstrations. Krewson says she wanted to de-escalate the situation, save police resources and give her neighbors a break from the intrusion. The mayor said she and her husband are paying for the alternate housing with their own money. Krewson is among several mayors across the country whose homes have been the scene of protests since the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis in May.
