One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Ozark County Monday morning. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 64-year-old Cheryl Whiteley of Brighton, Missouri, was taken to Baxter Regional Medical Center with what were termed moderate injuries.

The report indicates Whiteley was a passenger in a vehicle struck by a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Donald Pippin of Gainesville. Pippin was slowing for traffic congestion, when his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the Whiteley vehicle, which went off the road and into a ravine. The driver of that vehicle, Terry Whiteley, was not injured.

The accident happened at 10:40 Monday morning 5 miles north of Gainesville on Missouri Highway 5.
