21 quarantined after positive COVID-19 test at Hackler Intermediate School

Mountain Home Public Schools has announced a new COVID-19 positive test that is impacting 21 people.
According to information released Wednesday by the school, the positive case is a staff member at Hackler Intermediate School. Contact tracing as identified three additional staff members at the school, 17 Hackler students and one student at the Mountain Home Kindergarten as probable close contacts, with all 21 contacts being placed under quarantine.
Additional information provided by the district says of the three employee exposures, one was of the in-school variety, while two were out-of-school exposures. The district says, “If parents were not contacted individually, then their child is not considered a probable close contact to the person who tested positive.”

On Tuesday, the district announced one staff member in the Maintenance Department had tested positive, and one additional staff member was identified as a close probable contact. That person is under quarantine.
