Two local individuals are among 17 across the state Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson indicates he intends to pardon.
One of the two is Dennis D. Inskeep of Salesville.
Inskeep was convicted in 1997 in Baxter County of a felony count of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and a misdemeanor of carrying a weapon.
The second local individual is Kenneth D. Huff Jr. of Mountain View.
Huff was convicted in 2005 in Stone County of felony counts of criminal attempt to manufacture, marijuana; possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The governor’s actions are based on the pardon applicants having completed all jail time, fulfilled all parole and probationary requirements and paid all fines related to their sentences. In addition, there have been no further criminal-law violations, and there are no law enforcement objections to the applications.
There is a 30-day waiting period to receive public feedback on the notices before final action is taken.
