Yellville-Summit falls to Corning; Salem dominates Dover

Yellville-Summit had a rough night at home Friday suffering its first loss of the season. The Panthers ended up falling to Corning 40-0. Yellville-Summit drops to 1-1 on the year and will go to Newark next week for its first road test with Cedar Ridge.

Salem dominated its game from start to end. In their second straight home game, the Greyhounds shut out Dover by a final of 46-0. Salem improves to 2-0 on the season and will travel to Corning for its first road game of the year.

Melbourne was victorious in the middle game of its current three-game home stand. The Bearkatz pounded Cave City by a score of 48-12. Melbourne remains unbeaten in three games on the season and will host England for its non-conference finale next week.

Mountain View was able to get the win on homecoming night. The Yellowjackets defeated Hector by a count of 46-27. Mountain View’s record now stands at 2-1, and the Yellowjackets return to the road next week, as they meet Quitman.

Harrison ended up getting its first loss of 2020. The Goblins, ranked fourth in Class 5A by the Arkansas Sports Media, went on the road and lost to Siloam Springs 34-14. Harrison falls to 2-1 on the season, and the Goblins begin 5A-West action in two weeks, when they head to Farmington.
