Photos: Saundra G. Piazza and Kenneth D. Dornhoffer
A Stone County man, 32-year-old Kenneth D. Dornhoffer of Timbo, has been sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to four felony offenses. The charges stem from an incident in April when an elderly Mountain View homeowner called 911 reporting a male subject wearing a hoodie and gloves was climbing through the kitchen window of the home and was halfway inside.
The man making the call and his wife were asleep in their home as the male, later identified as Dornhoffer, was climbing over the kitchen sink.
The elderly man yelled at Dornhoffer, who reportedly exited through the window and ran to a silver car. The homeowner, looking out the window, observed Dornhoffer and a female, later identified as 40-year-old Saundra G. Piazza, also of Timbo, carrying numerous bags fleeing toward the woods.
Online court records indicate Piazza’s case remains open. She is charged with two felony drug-related counts.
Dornhoffer entered a guilty plea in Stone County Circuit Court earlier this month to felony charges of breaking or entering, residential burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to use crystal methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia with the purpose to test or analyze crystal methamphetamine. He was given credit for time served in the Stone County jail on a misdemeanor charge for theft of property.
