The Marion County Quorum Court will consider 17 items of business when it meets Tuesday evening for its September session delayed one week to allow time to prepare for a review of budgets impacting county general funding.
In addition to the revised budget, among the highlights of the lengthy agenda are ordinances to allow for the hiring of four full-time and one part-time jailer, converting one county road department foreman’s position to an equipment operator and specifying the content of the monthly reports to be presented to the court from the metro and county officers.
The meeting will be held at 6 in the second floor courtroom of the Marion County Courthouse.
