In preparation for the influenza season, the Arkansas Department of Health is providing flu vaccinations throughout the state. The Baxter County Health Unit was among many to offer the vaccine starting Monday.
The office on Bucher Drive in Mountain Home will provide drive-thru vaccinations again Tuesday from 8:30 to 3:30. Starting Wednesday, vaccines will be available on a walk-in basis weekdays from 8 to 4.
Patients should bring a health insurance card to the health unit. The vaccine will be free of charge to those without insurance or with insurance not covering a vaccination.
