Six new positive COVID-19 results – four students and two staff members – have been reported by the Mountain Home Public School District via its website Wednesday afternoon. The cases are across the school system, with only the Nelson Wilks Herron campus being spared.

The school says one student has tested positive at the high school, with four additional students being placed under quarantine due to their status as probable close contacts. This is the third consecutive day a positive test result has been received at the campus.

At Mountain Home Junior High, one new positive test was reported, but no quarantines were needed, as the student was previously placed under quarantine in response to an earlier positive test.

One student tested positive at Pinkston Middle School, with five other middle school students and one high school student identified as probable close contacts. Those students must now quarantine.

Hackler Intermediate School saw one staff member and one student test positive, forcing nine other students on the campus to enter quarantine.

At the kindergarten, one staff member tested positive. Two students in the building and one child at Hackler have been placed under quarantine, due to their identification as a probable close contact.
