A boil water order has been issued for approximately 50 customers in Flippin. The order affects residents from the intersection of Arkansas Highways 178 and 202 and continues west on Highway 202 to Fallen Ash Farms. Residents on all connecting side roads will also be affected.
According to a Flippin city spokesperson, the boil order was issued due to an 8-inch main break. Twin Lakes Therapy and Living and the Marion County Senior Center are among the locations affected by the order.
All water customers in the impacted areas need to boil water used for cooking or consumption briskly for three to five minutes. The order is expected to be lifted by next Friday. For more information, contact Flippin City Hall at 870-453-8300.
