The Mountain Home Pilots youth football program opened the 2020 season on a good note. Both Pilot teams went on the road and picked up victories at Berryville.

Mountain Home’s fifth and sixth grade squad shut out the Tigers 31-0. The first play from scrimmage ended with Trea Holliday scoring on a 70-yard run. The Pilots’ running game was led by Holliday, Naite Shick and Brycon Prine. In addition, Colton Johnson connected on a 15-yard touchdown pass to Davin Reasons.

Mountain Home’s third and fourth grade team also held Berryville to a goose egg on the scoreboard with an 18-0 victory. Similar to the fifth and sixth grade game, the Pilots scored on the first play of the game, as Conner Gentry ran it in from 70 yards out. Gentry had two more touchdown runs, including a 30-yard rush in the first half.

Both Mountain Home teams are 1-0 on the year, and they’ll return to Carroll County next weekend to meet Green Forest.
