Salem volleyball splits at Quitman

Salem split its volleyball matches at Quitman Thursday night.

The varsity team lost the first match 3-0, falling by scores of 25-10, 25-18 and 25-19. Kyla Stevens had three kills and two aces, and Mackenzie Hill added four aces and two kills.

In the second varsity match, Quitman topped Salem 3-0, winning by scores of 25-17, 25-21 and 25-20. Stevens had three kills and two aces, Chelsea Hamilton had four blocks and one kill, Maddie Miller served three aces, and Erica Tudor had three blocks and one kill.

Salem won its first junior high match 25-11 and 25-14. Maddie Keen finished with six kills and two aces, Ally Tanner had four aces, and Callie Hall had three kills.

In the second junior high match, Salem topped Quitman 25-13 and 25-19. Keen had five kills and two aces, Marleigh Sellars finished with five kills, and Tanner had three aces.

The Junior Lady Greyhounds improve to 11-2 on the season.
