The Mountain Home Pilots youth football teams had mixed results on Saturday, as they went to Green Forest.
The third- and fourth-grade game ended with the Pilots shutting out the Tigers 20-0. Mountain Home got the scoring started in the first series of the game ending with a 40-yard run to the end zone by Connor Gentry. The Pilots scored twice more in the first half, as Gentry threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Grady Sheehan, and Caden Pittman later added a 30-yard scoring run. Mountain Home remains unbeaten in two games on the season.
The Pilots did not fare as well in the fifth- and sixth-grade contest. Mountain Home suffered a 19-0 loss at the hands of Green Forest. The Pilots fall to 1-1 on the year.
Mountain Home will hit the road again Saturday meeting Salem to begin ARK-MO league action.
