Mountain Home, Salem volleyball teams win conference matches

The Mountain Home Lady Bombers returned to their home court Tuesday evening and cruised to a 3-0 win over Vilonia in 5A-West Conference action at The Hangar.Mountain Home took the first set 25-11, the second by a 25-18 margin and finished off the sweep by a 25-11 count.Reanna Dodge led Mountain Home with six kills and eight blocks, while Kylee Sabella had nine kills and 10 digs. Riley Schmitz led Mountain Home with 17 digs, and Kiah Beard recorded 20 assists.

The Lady Bombers improve to 11-3 overall and 7-2 in the 5A West Conference.

Mountain Home also won the JV match by scores of 25-13 and 25-13.

Emma Crabb had 20 assists for Mountain Home, Cate Jackson notched 14 digs, and Emma Wilber had eight kills.

The Salem Lady Greyhounds were also victorious Tuesday with a sweep of Marshall to improve to 9-6.

Salem won the first two sets by identical scores of 25-12 and finished off the match with a 25-5 win in the third.

In the junior high match, Salem won 2-1 by scores of 25-15, 16-26 and 15-7, improving to 13-2 on the year.
