USDA food boxes to be distributed Friday in Pontiac area

Frontier Baptist Church will help distribute USDA food boxes in the Pontiac area Friday morning.In a Facebook post, a spokesperson says the boxes will contain items such as meats, dairy and produce. These boxes are free to the community. There are no income or age guidelines. Anyone is eligible.Distribution is expected to be between 9:30 and 10:30. The time may vary a little, so those wanting to secure a food box are encouraged to watch the church’s Facebook page for updates.

Those participating will pick up boxes in a drive-thru set-up. Those wanting to obtain a box and unable to make a pick-up Friday are asked to contact the church to make arrangements for a delivery.
