Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce begins president/CEO search

The Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce has announced a nationwide search for its next president/CEO. The Chamber will be accepting resumes from qualified applicants through the end of October.
“The Chamber has organized a diverse group of individuals from our community to serve on the Selection Committee,” says Jeff Quick, Chamber Board of Directors chairperson. “We recognize the importance of ensuring our chamber membership is represented in the selection process as well as the key work areas outlined in the Chamber’s Baxter County Forward Plan.”

Selection committee members include Mark Meyer (Baxter International, Inc.), Ron Peterson (Baxter Regional Medical Center), Jake Long (Mountain Home Public Schools), Robin Myers (Arkansas State University-Mountain Home) Mayor Hillrey Adams (City of Mountain Home), Ricky Johnson (City of Mountain Home advertising and promotions committee/Quality Inn & Suites), Tami Barrow (Judicious Spirits), Ashley Havens (Ashley Havens State Farm), Jewel Pendergrass (Century 21 LeMac Realty), Jennifer Seaman (Mountain Home Education Foundation), Allen Moore (First Security Bank) and Quick (Food Bank of North Central Arkansas).

The selection committee is scheduled to meet Nov. 4 to narrow the field to the top candidates, and the Chamber executive committee is prepared to host virtual and in-person interviews during the month of November. After the candidate selection has been made, a formal approval will be provided by the Chamber Board of Directors during its regular meeting in December. Chamber officials hope to have the new president/CEO on staff during January.

Former chamber president Jeff Pipkin announced his retirement in May. His last day with the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce was June 30.
