A pool physician with the United States Women’s Ski and Snowboard Association made a visit to the Mountain Home Rotary Club earlier this month. Don Franklin III, MD, was the guest of Rotarian of the Day Deborah Knox.

Dr. Franklin discussed training with the athletes and working with their orthopaedic needs.

Club President Renae Schocke reminded the community about this year’s changes to the annual Rotary Pancake Day set for Oct. 31. Pancake Day Chair Wes Wood says tickets are on sale for this year’s event. Rotarians will be cooking the pancakes and sausages inside the Mountain Home High School cafeteria and “serving” them in either drive-thru or pick-up-style delivery.

Tickets are available from any Mountain Home Rotarian or at the door on Oct. 31. This is the only fundraiser for the MH Rotary club, and the area support allows the members to do all their local projects and programs benefiting the community and schools.
