Junior Bombers steamroll Newport

The Mountain Home Junior High football team continued to roll Thursday night with a 44-14 win at Newport. Mountain Home is now 7-0 on the season.

Offensively, the Junior Bombers rolled up 379 total yards. Cade Yates was six of six through the air for 187 yards and three touchdowns, Asher Adams had three catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns, Ryder McClain caught a 65-yard scoring strike, Christian Cruze had a 65-yard touchdown run, and Landon White had five carries for 34 yards and a touchdown.

On the defensive side, White picked off a pass and returned it 65 yards for a score, and Robert Dover had eight tackles, two sacks and a tackle for loss.

Head coach Greg Crow says, “Proud of our kids, we finally got off the bus ready to play. Thought our defense did a great job, Robert Dover had a heck of a game. We need to bring this type of effort next week vs El Dorado to have a chance to win, it is going ot take a great effort from everyone.”

The Junior Bombers will face El Dorado Thursday at Little Rock.
