The Mountain Home Pilots youth football program picked up one victory hosting Thayer for three games on Saturday.

Mountain Home’s lone win came in the fifth and sixth grade game, as it topped Thayer 12-7. Bryson Prine led the Pilots’ defense with an interception and two fumble recoveries. One was returned 36 yards for the first score of the game, and the other came with a minute left to secure the victory. Trea Holliday also had a pick, and that would later set up a 40-yard touchdown run by Naite Shick. Mountain Home improves to 3-2 on the season and 2-1 in the ARK-MO league.

The Pilots did not fare as well in the fourth grade contest, as they fell to Thayer 14-0. Mountain Home drops to 2-3 on the year and 0-3 in the league.

The day began with the third grade game, as the Pilots lost to Thayer 22-0. Mountain Home falls to 2-1 in ARK-MO.

The Pilots will continue their home stand on Halloween, but their opponent has yet to be determined. Those without a child on the team looking to attend the game should send an email to mhpilots@yahoo.com. The number of spectators will be limited due to COVID-19 guidelines.
