Yellville-Summit, Melbourne, Mtn. View get road victories

The Yellville-Summit High School football team was dominant Friday in its trip to Coal Hill. The Panthers invoked the mercy rule, as they routed Johnson County Westside 52-6. Yellville-Summit improves to 3-6 on the season and 2-4 in the 2A-4 and will finish the regular season next week at Mountainburg.

Melbourne had a good road trip, as the Bearkatz stepped outside of conference play. The Bearkatz were able to pick up a 21-8 victory at Camden Harmony Grove. Melbourne is now 6-2 on the year, and its regular season finale will be Friday at Mountain View.

Mountain View was also able to pick up a victory in its regular season road finale. The Yellowjackets edged out Riverview 20-19 in Searcy. Mountain View improves to 5-4 overall and 1-3 in the 3A-2.

Harrison clinched at least a share of another 5A-West championship in its last home game of the regular season. The Goblins pounded Clarksville by a final of 49-20. Harrison is 8-1 overall and 5-0 in the league and will travel to Pea Ridge next week.
