7th Grade Bombers debut with victory

The Mountain Home Seventh Grade Bombers opened their season Monday with a 35-22 win over Harrison at the Mountain Home Junior High Gym.The Seventh Grade Bombers held a slim 12-10 lead after a quarter, but opened up a 21-14 advantage at the half. Mountain Home would lead 28-18 after three quarters.Rhett Gilbert led Mountain Home with 16 points. Drew Haney added eight and Jackson Corp tallied five.

In varsity action, Lead Hill posted a pair of wins over Green Forest.

Lily Norman scored 20 points to lead the Lady Tigers past Green Forest by a 43-33 count. Kelsey Rogers added 11.

The senior boys game saw Lead Hill go on an 18-8 run in the second quarter to break open a tie game, en route to a 66-42 win.

T.J. Catron paced Lead Hill with 17 points, while Cody Paul and William Mancinelli scored 15 apiece.

In the junior high games, Green Forest won both matchups. Lead Hill dropped the junior boys game 37-24 despite 14 points from Haygan Dotson.

In the junior girls game, Green Forest was a 42-24 winner. Bella Huebner scored 22 points for Lead Hill.
