Small earthquake occurs in Boone County


The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports a small earthquake occurred overnight in eastern Boone County.

The quake measured 2.3 on the Richter scale and was centered 2.7 miles southwest of Lead Hill, 14.5 miles northeast of Harrison or 32.3 miles west of Mountain Home.

No reports of any damage have been received, with the USGC advising receiving just two reports from the public of feeling the quake.
