Mountain Home was able to get three wins playing four junior high basketball games at Harrison.
The freshmen boys’ game ended with the Junior Bombers beating the Junior Goblins 34-27. Braiden Dewey was Mountain Home’s top score with 12 points. The Junior Bombers improve to 1-1 on the season, and they’ll host Conway on Monday.
Mountain Home dominated the freshmen girls’ contest with a 37-15 decision. Ashlyn Estes paced the Junior Lady Bombers with 19 points. Mountain Home begins the year at 1-0 and will host Bentonville on Saturday.
In the eighth grade boys’ game, Mountain Home topped Harrison 40-22. The Eighth Grade Bombers were led by Ryder McClain with 14 points, and Finley Chafen ended up with 10. Mountain Home’s record is now 1-1.
Mountain Home’s only loss came in the eighth grade girls’ game, as they were edged out by Harrison 37-34 in double overtime. Laykin Moore hit a three at the buzzer for the Eighth Grade Lady Bombers to force the first overtime period. Mountain Home falls to 1-1 on the year.
