Bull Shoals Christmas parade set for Dec. 5, Flippin’s event canceled

While the Flippin Chamber of Commerce board has moved to cancel its annual Holi-Dazzle Parade citing an uptick in COVID-19 pandemic cases, the Bull Shoals community is planning for its annual Light Up the Night event.The fifth annual Light Up the Night Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting is set for Dec. 5.

The Bull Shoals Chamber of Commerce says in a Facebook posting the tree lighting is set for 5:30 next to Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services. The lighting will include hot chocolate and Christmas music.

Those planning to attend are reminded to wear masks and social distance with their family group.

Those wishing to participate in the parade are asked to line up starting at 5 p.m. on Marilyn Avenue. The parade will begin at 6, and participants are asked to have lights on their floats

Parade organizers hope to see fishing guides pulling their boats, classic cars and trucks and church and business floats.
