The Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce’s nationwide search for a new president and chief executive officer ended right in their back yard.
Danielle “Dani” Pugsley was selected for the position Tuesday after a vote of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. Pugsley is currently the EAST facilitator for Mountain Home High School, which covers eighth through 12th grade.
A native of Springhill, Tennessee, Pugsley has spent the past 11 years in the Mountain Public School District, the last three in her current position. She holds an undergraduate degree in health and human performance from Austin Peay in Clarksville, Tennessee, as well as a Masters of Education in Theory and Practice, a Masters in Special Education and Educational Specialist degree in Education Leadership and Administration. She is enrolled in a program to earn her Doctorate in Education Administration and Leadership.
Chamber Board President Jeff Quick said the organization received heavy interest in the position.
Quick says Pugsley’s vision for the future allowed her to climb to the top of the list of candidates.
Pugsley’s experience with technology will be a boon for the chamber, according to Quick.
Quick calls the hire a “next level” move for the chamber.
The successful search would not have been possible without the efforts of many, Quick adds.
Pugsley and her husband, Tobias, are the parents of three children and reside along the White River in Baxter County.
