Snowfall expected to begin late morning in Twin Lakes Area

The possibility for winter weather Sunday in the Twin Lakes Area has become greater than originally expected. A winter weather advisory will be in effect for Baxter, Marion, Searcy and Stone counties in North Central Arkansas and for Southern Missouri from 9 a.m. until midnight, and Fulton and Izard counties will be under another winter weather advisory from 5 p.m. Sunday until 3 a.m. Monday. In addition, Boone and Newton counties will be under a winter storm warning from 9 a.m. until midnight.

Meteorologist Willie Gilmore of the National Weather Service office in North Little Rock says a storm system will be moving into the area Sunday.
