Ozark County Collector Darla Sullivan is reminding residents real estate and personal property taxes are due Thursdsay.

The Ozark County Times reports Sullivan says her office will be open all day Thursday on New Year’s Eve.

Rather than making the trip to the courthouse, she encourages taxpayers to use ozarkcountycollector.com, the collector’s new payment portal. Online payments may be made for a small fee by drawing directly from the taxpayer’s checking account. Or, for a slightly bigger fee, taxes can be charged to a credit card.

Sullivan says banks, accountants, title companies and others involved in real estate and other financial matters are able to access the information electronically when needed, instead of physically coming to or calling the collector’s office.

Tax payment checks, made payable to Ozark County Collector, may also be mailed to Sullivan’s office at P.O. Box 25, Gainesville, MO 65655.

For more information, call the collector’s office at 417-679-4448.
