Cotter mayor: Sales tax or rate increase needed for sewer improvements

At its January meeting, the Cotter City Council will continue consideration of a one-percent sales and use tax initiative for sewer improvements.

At its December meeting, an ordinance was placed on its first reading regarding the sales tax initiative.

Mayor McGeorge “Mac” Caradine tells KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot news the initiative is an effort to continue an existing tax.
