Another local school district will temporarily shut down a portion of its classrooms for on-site instruction. The Viola School District will have its elementary students attending classes virtually this week due to a high number of quarantined students and staff.

According to Viola Superintendent John May, the high school will remain open for on-campus instruction as usual. Buses will continue to pick up high school students, but since elementary students will not be riding, they may run later each morning.

Staff members not in quarantine will need to report for a normal work day on Tuesday.
