The Flippin High School boys’ basketball team went for a short trip on Monday and defeated Yellville-Summit 65-47. Ben Cantrall led the Panthers with 18 points, and David Deroshier added 10. The Bobcats are ranked fourth in Class 2A by the Arkansas Sports Media.
Melbourne’s girls notched another win on the home floor. The Lady Bearkatz, currently a unanimous No. 1 in Class 2A, topped second-ranked Tuckerman 45-34.
Lead Hill split a pair of high school games at Jasper. The Tigers beat the Pirates 75-49 in the boys’ game. It was a different result in the girls’ contest, as Lead Hill fell to Jasper 45-32.
