Basketball makes up the local Monday schedule, and four of Mountain Home’s junior high teams will return to the Hangar, as they meet Batesville. The seventh grade boys’ game tips off at 4:30 followed by the eighth grade girls and both freshman contests. Tickets can be purchased at the gate.
In other junior high action, Cotter hosts Flippin, and Bergman entertains West Fork.
Both of Bakersfield’s high school teams will play their openers in the Cabool Basketball Classic. The Lady Lions face Koshkonong at 5:30 in the new gym, and the Bakersfield boys take on the host Bulldogs at 8:30 in the old gym.
Elsewhere on the high school level, Gainesville’s girls are home against Mountain Grove, the Dora girls host Hartville, Viola will send two girls’ teams to Melbourne, Izard County entertains Greers Ferry West Side, Mammoth Spring is home against Armorel, Lead Hill travels to Kingston, and Omaha hosts Decatur.
