NIXA, Mo. (AP) – An arrest has been made in the shooting death of a man outside a home in the southwestern Missouri town of Nixa, police there said.
The shooting happened around 3 a.m. Monday, the Springfield News-Leader reported. Officers called to the scene found the body of Zachary Shane Rice, 41, of Nixa, on the street outside a home. Police said they detained someone they believed was the shooter at the scene.
Police did not immediately release the name of the person arrested or give other details about what may have led to the shooting.
