Tuesday basketball schedule includes MHHS hosting Russellville

High school basketball makes up the local Tuesday schedule, as Mountain Home will be on the home floor for the first time in three weeks. Conference play continues for the Bombers and Lady Bombers, as they welcome Russellville to the Twin Lakes Area.
Mountain Home’s girls are 2-12 on the season and 1-2 in the 5A-West. The Lady Bombers’ last game was a week ago, when the fell at Vilonia. Russellville has not taken the floor since Jan. 5. The Lady Cyclones are 7-5 and 1-0 following a one-point win over Van Buren.
The Mountain Home boys are 5-7 overall and 1-2 in the league. The Bombers are coming off a loss at Vilonia last Tuesday. Russellville is 10-3 and 4-0. The Cyclones beat up on Alma on Friday.
The junior varsity boys’ game tips off at 5 p.m. at Bomber Gymnasium. The varsity contests begin around 6 and can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.
Also in the 5A-West, Greenbrier hosts Vilonia, Siloam Springs entertains Greenwood, and Alma travels to Van Buren.

Both of Bakersfield’s teams are set to take on Couch on the consolation side of the Cabool Basketball Classic. The girls’ game tips off at 4 p.m. in the old gym, and the boys’ contest is set for 5:30 in the new gym.

Elsewhere, Cotter is home against Yellville-Summit, Norfork hosts Izard County, Flippin makes the trip to Alpena, Ozark Mountain heads to Mount Judea, Gainesville’s boys entertain Willow Springs, the Dora boys travel to Mountain Grove, Viola is home against Timbo, Salem makes the trip to Newark to play Cedar Ridge, Melbourne heads to Pleasant Plains to face Midland, Marshall entertains Quitman, Mountain View travels to Rose Bud, Rural Special is home against Concord, Valley Springs hosts Greenland, Omaha makes the trip to Blue Eye, and Jasper entertains Deer.
