Twin Lakes Quarries of Mountain Home has been purchased by Atlas Asphalt and White River Materials in Batesville, according to a report from whiterivernow.com.

Atlas Asphalt President Mark Lamberth says the purchase from the King Family of Mountain Home consisted of an asphalt/ready-mix operation, twin quarries, real estate and operational assets.

He says the properties will now operate under the Atlas Asphalt/White River Materials name.

Lamberth said all personnel in the Mountain Home operation were retained, and the addition brings the number of Atlas Asphalt/White River Materials employees to over 200.

Lambert says, “We have added good people to the Atlas Asphalt/White River Material family, and we are proud to be a part of Baxter and Marion counties. We are truly optimistic about the area’s future.”

Lamberth says his companies are also optimistic about the work that will be done on Arkansas’ infrastructure, work that was made possible when the voters continued the half-cent sales tax last November.

Lamberth notes the Mountain Home purchase expands the company’s area of operation in North Central and Northeast Arkansas.

In addition to Batesville and Mountain Home, Atlas Asphalt and White River Materials operate Asphalt plants in Jonesboro, Mountain View, Pocahontas, Helena, Payneway and McCrory.

The company’s two ready mix plants are located in Batesville and Mountain Home.
