The COVID-19 pandemic has forced another local school district to shut down its on-site classrooms for the first part of the week. Cotter School District Superintendent Vanessa Thomas-Jones says due to the number of students and staff in quarantine, all grades will pivot to remote learning Monday through Wednesday.

For students not in quarantinine but needing internet access, assistance with lessons and supervision, learning zones will be available on campus. Meals will be available each day from 11 to 11:30, and a Google form will need to be filled out to sign up for meals.

Thomas-Jones says the situation will continue to be monitored, and a determination on Thursday and Friday will be made at a later time.
